We're a Manifest Grant Winner!

Gem Surprise Box has been selected as one of 50 small businesses awarded a $10,000 grant and $5,000 in logistics support through the 2022 Alibaba Manifest Grants Program!

The Manifest Grant Program provides grants to small businesses to continue to grow and build their businesses in this competitive market. Gem Surprise Box was selected because of our innovative products and services. 

Winners were selected based on a dynamic application process that consisted of 56 essay, shorts answer, and multiple choice questions. Expert judges from across the e-commerce ecosystem were called to participate and select this year’s winners. Each judge, listed below, brought their unique perspective to the application review process.

  • Elizabeth Gore, President, Hello Alice

  • Becky Center, Chief Executive Officer, Indiegogo

  • Robert Clarkson, Chief Revenue Officer, Payoneer

  • Daymond John (Executive Program Mentor), Founder of FUBU, ABC’s Shark Tank

Here at Gem Surprise Box, we are are all about manifesting, working to make the impossible our reality, and shooting for the stars because that’s what makes dreams come true. With over 23,000 fellow applicants, we are beyond honored to be chosen. Saying that entrepreneurship is harder than a rock is the understatement of the century, but the reward of creating and growing Gem Surprise Box has been one of the greatest joys of our lives.  

We received this incredible news in mid-December 2022 and are elated to now be able to share just how happy we are for our business with our Gem Surprise Box members and friends. This was easily one of the best Christmas surprises we have ever received! Thank you for your continued support of our small business and two entrepreneurs from a small town in San Diego County, California.

We would also like to thank the UCLA Alumni Association for naming Gem Surprise Box a Bruin 100 Business in March of 2022. This achievement gave us the confidence and encouragement needed to reach higher and the Bruin entrepreneurs who we met through this honor showed us how to dream bigger for our business.
